Postman's Park

Small memorial garden tucked away in the City Of London, close to St Paul's Cathedral whose centrepiece is a wall of 47 hand-painted tiles that pay tribute to everyday people who sacrificed their lives helping others.
The memorial was the idea of the painter, George Frederick Watts who wanted to celebrate the heroism of people who may otherwise have been forgotten. The park's name celebrates the postmen who work in the principal London post office and the former sorting office in King Edward Street.

The park features in the Mike Nichols'-directed film, Closer (starring Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen and Jude Law.

It is located between King Edward Street, Little Britain and Angel Street.

Nearest Tube Station is St Paul's on the Central Line, alternatively Barbican on the Circle Line.
